Doggy Daycare
Terms and Conditions
Vaccination & health:

The owner confirms that their dog is up to date on all vaccinations, in good health and free from contagious disease and illness. Evidence of this may be requested in certain circumstances.

The owner confirms they have notified the doggy daycare/pet sitter of any contradictions.

Dalwood Paws Retreat reserves the right to refuse or stop the service at any given time if the pet's health or behaviour poses a risk to themselves or others.
Doggy daycare process:

All dogs must pass a temperament assessment. Please read why your dog may not be suitable for doggy daycare on our website.

You will ensure that your dog always enters and leaves our premise on a serviceable lead and collar.

Dogs are not permitted to wear tracking devices, correction collars, breakaway collars, studded collars, dualed collars or harnesses as these items are too dangerous to leave on whilst in doggy daycare.

Dogs must be checked in no later than 8:30am, unless previously arranged. Late arrivals may be turned away and charged a full service fee.

Dogs must be picked up by 5:30pm, unless previously arranged. A late fee of $15 per 15 minutes will be charged.

Dogs over 12 months of age must be desexed. Evidence of this may be requested in certain circumstances.

Dogs must be vaccinated to a level of at least c5. You must provide evidence of this at the temperament assessment or on your dogs first day. This is non-negotiable as it is a requirement of the code of practice.

All dogs must be wormed and be given tick preventative at least 14 days prior to their first day of daycare. This is to be maintained as per treatment recommendation.

The owner declares that their dog is booked in as the breed they are registered with under council. Evidence of this may be requested in certain circumstances.

The owner by signing this document and leaving their dog in our care gives Dalwood Paws Retreat permission to seek veterinary care if deemed necessary. Dalwood Paws Retreat will take such action as necessary to comply with the owners insurance (if any) for the dog, if the requirement of such insurance is made available to Dalwood Paws Retreat. You agree to pay the cost incurred by Dalwood Paws Retreat in arranging all urgent or necessary veterinary or other care for the dog whilst it is under our care at Dalwood Paws Retreat.

The owner by signing this document and leaving your dog in care acknowledges that Dalwood Paws Retreat does not permit visits to view your dog throughout the day as this causes overstimulation in your and other dogs, changes dynamics in the group and can cause reactivity that can cause aggressive behaviour.

The owner acknowledges that Dalwood Paws Retreat staff will take best care with their dogs. In the event of an accident or illness or injury, the dog owner will accept responsibility for such accidents or illness or injury and will pay all cost incurred by said event, regardless of how the incident occured.

The owner agrees to collect their dog if contacted and asked to do so by Dalwood Paws Retreat.

It is the owners responsibility to inform Dalwood Paws Retreat of any behavioural issues the dog may have regardless on whether these issues may impact on Dalwood Paws Retreat providing care. This may include but is not limited to fence jumping, uncomfortable with being pulled on collar, etc.

The owner acknowledges that Dalwood Paws Retreat is a cageless environment where dogs play and interact with each other off leash and therefore, understands risks are involved in such an environment. These risks include but are not limited to transfer of illnesses such as kennel cough, etc. Injuries including nips and/or scratching, brokens nails, cuts, sore pads, minor injuries, etc.

The owner authorises Dalwood Paws Retreat to use certain forms of corrective methods such as verbal commands and time out to help correct behavioural problems.
Daycare bookings/payments:

Payment must be made on the day of attendance.

There is a strict 24hr cancellation or no show policy. If you do not provide us with 24hr notice or fail to attend your booking you will be charged a cancellation or no show full fee. If this is a regular occurence your doggy daycare position will be cancelled.

Doggy daycare bookings are a requirement of a minimum of 1 day per week.

The owner understands and agrees that the daycare rates and services are reviewed periodically and may increase at any time for any reason.

Dalwood Paws Retreat reserves the right to refuse to accept or keep a dog in care if they consider doing so will jeopardise the safety, wellbeing or comfort of any other dog or employees of Dalwood Paws Retreat.

Dogs that are coughing or have been coughing over the previous 24hrs, have diarrhea and/or eye discharge must not attend daycare. Please contact us if you are not sure or need confirmation. If Dalwood Paws Retreat deems your dog unwell, they must be collected within 2hrs and seen by a vet, all costs incurred will be payable by the owner.

Dalwood Paws Retreat works on a 3 strikes and your out policy. If your dog exhibits any behaviour that is thought to be unacceptable you will be noted on the incident.

The owner gives Dalwood Paws Retreat permission to use images of their dog for publication and public relation activities. This may include but is not limited to print and electronic media such as social media platforms.
