Why your dog may not be suitable
There are a few reasons why your dog may not be suitable to attend doggy daycare at Dalwood Paws Retreat. This is to ensure the health and safety of all other dogs attending and our workers.

-
Aggressive: Dogs that have or do display aggressive behaviour towards other dogs, animals or humans may not be suitable for daycare due to a safety risk.
-
Anxious or fearful: Dogs that experience high levels of anxiety or that are fearful in certain situations may become stressed or overwhelmed in a daycare environment. This can lead to behavioural issues and won't be a positive experience for your dog.
-
Health issues: Dogs that require specialised care or that have contagious illnesses may not be suitable for daycare due to a safety risk.
-
Anti-social or lack of socialisation: If your dog is anti-social and does not like group settings or playing with other dogs, they may become anxious and withdrawn. This could potentially result in negative behavioural issues and therefore they may not be suitable for daycare.
-
Jumper, digger or climber: If your dog is a severe jumper, digger or climber they may not be suitable for doggy daycare due to the risk of escaping or injuring themselves or other dogs.
All dogs will undergo an initial assessment prior to starting daycare to confirm suitability.
